Jonathan Manley was born and raised on Long Island. After graduating from Hofstra University School of Law he joined the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Manley’s initial focus was in the investigation of large scale white-collar crimes, including embezzlement, identity theft, insurance fraud and other financial crimes. Primarily though, Mr. Manley was responsible for the investigation and prosecution of all tax crimes in Suffolk County. These crimes involved personal income tax evasion, payroll taxes and sales tax fraud. His efforts in this field resulted in an award from the New York State Tax Department’s Criminal Investigative Division for Outstanding Achievement.
