After I was admitted to the bar in 1983, I joined the law firm that my father had started decades earlier. Shortly after, we became partners and engaged in a general and highly eclectic practice through which I gained broad knowledge and experience in a wide variety of fields of law. Over time, however, it became increasingly clear to me that, in order to truly excel as an attorney, I would have to focus my time, effort and attention on a single area of the law.
