About Jany Martinez
Jany Martinez-Ward is a Founding and Managing Partner of The Ward Law Group, PL, a Florida personal injury law firm representing victims of accidents. She focuses her practice on providing legal representation to Spanish-speaking clients that have become injured in an accident as a result of the negligence of others.
At The Ward Law Group, Jany leads the firm’s Pre-litigation Department assisting clients with everything from paperwork to counseling. She often negotiates settlement claims directly with insurance companies to ensure her clients receive just compensation for any financial losses, work interruptions, and emotional distress incurred as a result of being in an accident.
She directly supervises over fifteen employees to ensure quality service for clients and is largely responsible for increasing the client base from just a few personal injury clients in 2013 to over eight hundred active files today.
Born in Havana, Cuba, and immigrated to the United States approximately twenty years ago, Jany has experienced and is familiar with the common challenges that immigrants face in this complex and intimidating legal system. Because of her early experiences, Jany chose to dedicate her life to helping her community’s legal needs. She has been recognized as a Top Attorney in Florida and earned a “Top 40 Under 40” status from the National Trial Lawyers Association in 2018.
Jany attended Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.
Jany’s community efforts expanded far beyond sharing her legal knowledge from the start of her career. She has been an active member of her church, Alpha & Omega, for more than 15 years and has sponsored countless events to help children and youth groups with healthy development. Every month she hosts live games through different radio stations, in which members of the community participate for a chance to win products and money. In doing so, she has had the opportunity to interact with her listeners, answer their legal questions, and give back to those in need. She also sponsors a Back to School donation drive for orphaned and disabled children in need at the end of every summer, annual turkey giveaways for more than 200 families during the holiday season, and many other giveaways like concert and event tickets.
