He attended college at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill on a full wrestling scholarship and from there went to law school at Stetson University College of Law in St. Pete, Florida. Carter Mario has been practicing law in Connecticut for over 30 years. He attended college at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill on a full wrestling scholarship and from there went to law school at Stetson University College of Law in St. Pete, Florida. He chose to return to his hometown of Milford, Connecticut to start his practice.

As Founder and President of Carter Mario Law Firm, Carter has spearheaded tremendous growth. What started in a one room office has grown into Connecticut’s largest personal injury law firm with six, fully staffed offices across the state. “We’re big enough to go against any insurance company but small enough to care about our clients,” said Carter. “Our growth has been possible because of the excellence, care, and compassion with which we have served thousands of clients. Everything we do is about putting clients first,” Carter said. “That is the foundation of the firm. I love when the representation ends with a fully satisfied client that we have helped to make a positive difference in their life.

Carter is married to his college sweetheart, and they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Two of his kids, Alex and Luke, work with him at the firm as attorneys. When he is not working, you can find him hard at work on his tractor or excavator digging holes and making trails on his property in Vermont. He is an avid motorcycle rider as well as a top-notch peloton rider and cyclist. Carter believes staying in shape gives him the mental toughness, energy, and wellbeing to keep him on top of his game and be the best version of himself so that he can be the best advocate for those that depend on him.
