He was appointed by Governor John G. Rowland to serve as a member of the Criminal Justice Commission, which hires all prosecutors for the Division of Criminal Justice for the State of Connecticut. He was appointed by Chief Justice Francis McDonald to the Civil Justice Commission, which oversees reforms to the Connecticut Civil Justice system.
