Jim Connolly grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and completed his undergrad and law degree at the University of Bridgeport (now Quinnipiac University School of Law), magna cum laude.
In his early career, he litigated serious criminal matters including murder, sexual assault, and robbery. He also represented a major national insurance company and litigated automobile, product liability, premises liability, and other negligence and subrogation matters.
