About Keith Scott Orenstein
After I was admitted to the bar in 1983, I joined the law firm that my father had started decades earlier. Shortly after, we became partners and engaged in a general and highly eclectic practice through which I gained broad knowledge and experience in a wide variety of fields of law.
Over time, however, it became increasingly clear to me that, in order to truly excel as an attorney, I would have to focus my time, effort and attention on a single area of the law. Ultimately, I chose family law because its challenges and opportunities best suited my skills and temperament.
As a family law practitioner, I am equally at home in the courtroom and behind the desk. I have negotiated and prepared scores of agreements, including prenuptial, postnuptial, and separation agreements. I have extensive experience both prosecuting and defending trials and hearings in the Supreme and Family Courts, including actions for divorce, equitable distribution, spousal maintenance, child support, custody and visitation. I have handled numerous appeals, as well as proceedings for enforcement and modification of judgments and agreements.
I strive continuously to improve my knowledge and skills so that I will be able to give each and every one of my clients nothing less than the best professional advice, counsel, and representation. My precept is this: passion for the law, and compassion for my clients.
