Attorney Goldman’s diverse experience gives him a unique dimension for assisting business owners in their formation, contract negotiation, business planning and problem solving, and transactions. He is legal counsel for lending institutions, developers and small business owners. His personal business experience has included being president/CEO and General Counsel of a large privately-owned second mortgage lender and a director of two public companies and several non-profit corporations. Michael also has taught Accounting in the evening school division at The Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Attorney Goldman serves as a pro bono arbitrator and mediator in disputes between synagogues and their professional staff. He has also been appointed by the Superior Court as trustee of the clients of a lawyer whose license to practice was temporarily suspended.
Michael’s primary representation includes:
Negotiating and closing the purchase and sale of businesses.
Forming entities (corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships) to minimize clients’ personal liability and maximize business efficiency.
Assisting business owners in contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
Closing real estate purchases, sales, leases and financing.
Representing secured lenders, hedge funds, investors and niche lenders in asset-based lending nationwide.
Michael also is Vice President of The Trumbull Business Network.
Attorney Goldman graduated from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics magna cum laude and the University of Pennsylvania Law School cum laude, having achieved Order of the Coif (top 10% in academic standing).
Married to Ellen Winchell Goldman and father of three children, Michael volunteers his time as Class Agent for The University of Pennsylvania Law School Class of 1986 and a Member of the Law Alumni Society for the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He served as President of Congregation Rodeph Sholom (Bridgeport, Connecticut) for three (3) years and coached the Tennis Team at Ezra Academy (Woodbridge, Connecticut).
